Hi Raymond
I'm kind of sorry but can't help that I forgot about you. In a quite twisted way I stumbled onto an e-mail from you. From there it took me nearly 10 minutes till I realised that we had a well going exchange of ideas before. It got interrupted by your Youth service, of which I did not know and after a few weeks I gave up looking for mail from you.
I have given up on politics.Am 80 and in my lifetime no big change will happen. Obama ? yes and no. He can twist and squirm but in the end he has to do the military's orders. They are the "American defence force" for the using the US as a milk cow. In every country the military is the strongest and most disciplined faction. if they can't persuade the goverments they can topple them. For me they are the enemy No 1 and religions are No 2 followed by bank managers in third place. ..... Alois

Hi good that nothing serious with you. I'm fine as long as I sit and do nothing. But that is not living. Lost 5 kg in three weeks. Long way to go and from now on I have to watch how much I'm eating. Did that never before.
Bit more about corruption. We all were once kingdoms. To become king you had to beat all competition. So you had power and that gave you ownership of everything in that country. Kings had friends with whom the shared the spoils. The under developed world is not very far from the kingdom idea. The rulers there are not corrupt (in their mind) for they own the country. I have several stories/ examples.
Now a statement: I think we all are human and therefore corrupt. I know I'm for I supported my son much more then my 3 daughters. Got rewarded too: My son does not want anything to do with us, spoke to him last time 5 years ago. Heard from friends that he is in India, probably in Mumbay for his wife is from there.
In the western world corruption is a dirty word. Those people are smart and very smart. The ones who make the rules are not smart. I think it is kind of sport to outsmart the rule makers and enrich yourself. My brother in Gemany cheated the tax office for 40 or more years. He bragged about that and said I was not smart. Now they take everything away he owns.
I want to make quite clear my view of finances. I started working as an electrician apprentice in a coalmine in 1944. The "big" boss took me into his office and gave me a lecture of more than an hour. He explained that from now on I have to work to earn my living. Not only that but there are others who can't work or are teachers, soldiers etc they have to live too so I have to work for them too. I accepted that and that's what I did all my live. When I was 69 I got the old age pension. Was a small building contractor. 30 years later an insurance sales man came in my office Within one minute he knew that I wont buy.Staid two hours. Told me making a living is not good enough, you have to make profit. ..I said what do you do with profit? Oh you buy shares or an investment property. There was a very big firm just gone belly up. Should I have bought their shares? No you see a financial adviser and he will recommend sound shares to you. I don't trust them and I have a client who bought an investment property. Rented it out, but the rent does no cover the mortgage payments. He suspects the tenants are ruining his property.so he wants to see the damage every week. Was soon told to stay out. Now he was standing outside and guessing how much damage there is.. .... Had I bought shares they would have no value now. Another 25 years later I heard of maximising the profits. That is always either illegal or at least immoral..Such scheme got me for 28 dollars. I never owned a share, but I became a member of the communist party at 19 and left very disappointed at 21.

Hi, Raymond
That is getting interesting. I wanted to write to you and on that page I found an entry from Kaelana. She writes about EFT. I had no idea what that is, never heard of it. It must be something, importand enough for her to promote it. Looked it up in Google, ,just a short glimpse. I was looking for something like that since half a year. Have serious health problems. Had a heart attack 10 years ago, result was a weak heart. Was no big problem till nine months ago. My wight got to 99kg, should be 77kg. My heart can't supply that big mass. Now I want to lose wight with chinese medicine. Takes 10 to 12 weeks, this is my second week and I'm feeling lousy.
The capitalist system has just got the biggest setback. Not by Osama Bin Laden, by our financial heroes (I call them crooks) themselves. If it were any other system it would be totally discredited and we would look for something better. Not for this. The gangsters had to be bailed out, they keep their immense assets to pay bribes to the power full and they keep their jobs to carry on the good work. Tonnes of band aid will be used to patch it up and we will be told it's something brand new.
I think people who push hard to get into politics do so for they want to benefit from corruption.

G'day (Australian hello) Raymond

I'm new to using this site - haven't found your message yet. Great that you believe service to humanity is the best work of life. That's true 4 me in my world. I hope to expand 'tapping' (the use of EFT) to as many people as possible. It's free it's simple, it usually works. It still does help me and is a gift to humanity this century.
Blessings Kaelana

Hi, Raymond
You want to communicate. I will support that. You have your working life in front of you and mine is far behind me. Will be 80 in April. You say you want to do volunteer work. That's great but in a capitalist society it means bringing bread crumbs to the poor. They need more, they need bread. I would like to debate how we can change our economy and how to introduce birth control. Without that we need constant wars to keep the population in check. That is when God takes care. Wat's your view? Alois

Currently working with people who need to work but do not have work

I am working with the Americorps VISTA program and am looking at this for a way to facilitate trade and employment for my office that I currently reside in which is in Northport, Alabama. I think the CES model is good yet what is its effectiveness thus far? What are the numbers for success? Is there any place I can look or find this information?
Thanks,
Sean K. Liebel

Thomas Greco is the most radical writer on money today. The very title of the book suggests that the future of civilization depends on abandoning money-as-we-know-it. What could be more radical and revolutionary than that? Yet on readin… Continue

Introducing COGS

The Point of COGS

COGS stands for Circle of Gifts, and is a complementary currency specifically designed to help local communities re-localise activities. The aim of re-localisation is to provide inhabitants with the possibility of an acceptable quality of life when traditional economic development fails, or their circumstances are against them.

We believe complementary currencies will become more important as energy supplies dwindle and impact the economic growth so essential for inter… Continue

Mobilising The Real Wealth of Community - An Article by Alana Tobin

People around the world are increasingly concerned and even fearful about the present state of our economy and the real possibility of a recession turning into a depression. Having grown dependent upon an economic system which has increasingly failed us now our economy is in a rapid state of decline. As a growing number of people are losing their jobs and homes, many are finding themselves in rather precarious and even dire circumstances. Should the economy significantly worsen none of us likes… Continue
